Michael Zerang has been called a “beyond category” musician and is considered by his peers to be one of the most accomplished and consistently engaging musicians currently active on the jazz scene today. Michael Zerang has performed with a who’s who of creative musicians spanning two continents. He resume includes work with fellow Chicago-based musicians Ken Vandermark and Hamid Drake as well as the sorely missed Fred Anderson.

The First Meeting From The Multiverse European Tour begins soon. Peter Brötzmann (saxes), Steve Swell (trombone), Paal Nilssen-Love (drums) are heading out on a clutch of dates across Poland, Russia, Germany and Austria. Tour dates and poster are below!

This exciting new group will be touring Europe this winter between 9-30 November in order to promote the debut release "Songs From The Big Book Of Love", a CD containing eight original compositions by Michael Zerang, due for release in May on the Pink Palace label.

The Artacts Festival für Jazz und improvisierte Musik 15th Edition will take place on 6-8 March 2015, in St. Johann, Austria, where Peter Brötzmann, Steve Swell and Paal Nilssen-Love will make their Festival debut as a band, as part of their First Meeting from the Multiverse European Tour. Starting thursday the All Ears Festival hits Oslo for the 14th year in a row, with Barcode Quartet performing at Fabrikken on Saturday, Jan 10th.
